The Sea No Evil Charity Art Show is again in full swing. This year’s show is bigger than ever with a large group of artist donating their works to benefit the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. What would you do if you had the money to get one of Jeff Koons’ famous “Diamond” sculptures? Where would youÂ place it to get the most out of your new found bling? On the roof of your luxury penthouse? Apparently that’s exactly what hedge-fund mogul Richard Perry did. After witnessing David MacDowell’s wit and humor as well his acrylic skills firsthand at Thinkspace a short while back, we fast became fans of his work. But, his ballsy take on Robert Williams‘ classic “Appetite For Destruction” at the Crazy4Cult 3D show really blew our mind. Last Friday, Travis Louieâ€™s (interviewed) opened his show “Portrait Of A Young Monster” at Roq La Rue.Â There were a total of eight paintings with the largest being “The Ghost Of Abigail” at 31″ x 19″ (above). FAME Festival – Word to Mother

UK’s Word to Mother (interviewed) has just finished a lovely mural at FAME Festival (our coverage here). Word’s soft colors and sketched lines fit really well into the environment the artists have been working in. This piece forms a nice continuation to his solo exhibition, “Young Mind, Old Soul,” at Fifty24SF (covered) earlier in the year. See a more detailed shot of the figure to the right after the jump.

Some images from David Stoupakis have leaked of him getting ready for his upcoming show at Dorothy Circus Gallery in Rome. Stoupakis will be bringing a new body of work with his special blend of gothic surrealism to Italy at the end of October. Perhaps his muse Aprella will be making an appearance as well like she did at the Dr. Sketchy Tribute Event to Stoupakis in May. Streets: Imminent Disaster

We saw this image of an Imminent Disaster piece in progress today on Vandalog and were struck again by the complexity of her work and paper cutting skills. We first saw the intricacy of her work in person at the “Streets of Brooklyn” show in January and more recently at her dual show with Gaia at Ad Hoc Art, but nothing quite highlights the ephemerality of street art like seeing her delicate and time-consuming cutouts pasted on a decaying wall.
