Last Thursday, the Jonathan LeVine Gallery in New York was the site of French-born and Barcelona-based Miss Van’s new body of work. One of the pioneers for women street artists in a male dominated genre, the delicate yet strong characters that she paints have always made an impression with their uninhibited sexuality and freedom of expression.  For this show Bailarinas, her masked sensual and sultry “poupee” characters in various states of undress seem to have taken on the role of provocative dancers.
