Type, Nemo and Sickboy

I have been kindly asked by the nice guys here at AM if I would like to submit a weekly street art article from my Instagram feed. Without hesitation I accepted…

For those of you who haven’t heard about Instagram, it’s an app on the iPhone where you can upload and share pictures, so all photos are taken with the iPhone. I mainly focus on the streets of Shoreditch and areas of Hackney, London, taking photographs of new and old streetart. So, here goes, I hope you enjoy it…

This week we have seen Ron English hit the streets with his Thoughtful campaign, coinciding with his exhibition Skin Deep at Lazarides. Also, Meggs, part of the Everfresh Crew from Australia, has been in London for his show Inner Demons at Red Bull Studio and has well and truly left his mark by putting up pasteups and doing some shutter action. Nemo’s fun carrots have been appearing high up on buildings, a great fire extinguisher tag by London’s Burning Candy over the front of Tony’s Gallery and some excellent work from Rowdy, of his iconic crocodiles on walls, shutters and bins. In addition to all that, there is Type’s risky rollers and a new sign of the wing stencil from D*face as well as plenty of priority mail stickers by the New York sticker artist Curly with his provocative messages. Here’s a selection of some of my favourite images captured over the last few weeks….

Read on for more images after the jump.
