Openings: Michael Leavitt – “The Art Army Royalty” @ Jonathan Levine Gallery

Several weeks ago, showing alongside Dylan Egon, the The Art Army Royalty of Michael Leavitt (interviewed) were on full display at New York’s Jonathan LeVine gallery. The solo show was made up entirely of Michael’s signature sculptural tributes to artists featuring a melding of their eerily accurate portraits and features of their work. Artists like Ai Weiwei, Damien Hirst, and Lucian Freud were all free game for his special interpretations.
