For his first London exhibition at Alison Jacques Gallery since the celebrated Moonmilk series over two years ago, Ryan McGinley has assembled seven new photographs, all in the largest format the American artist has yet worked in. Wandering Comma features photographs harmoniously balancing the orchestrated and the unpredictable, the staged and the spontaneous. Although the images begin with choreographed scenarios, the images that result are never wholly pre-meditated leaving their own freedom and initiative to the models or situation. Running through Thursday, December 22nd, Wandering Comma is a must-see show for anyone in and around the London area.
