Richard Prince
One of the most prestigious private showings at Art Basel Miami Week every year is from the Rubell Family Collection. This year, the group show culled from their extensive holdings was entitled American Exuberance, a reference to the fact that all artists included were American citizens and living in the States leading to a keen observation of American culture, economy and politics. On the roster were 64 artists and 190 artworks, 40 of which were made in 2011, many specifically for this exhibition and included Richard Prince, Jeff Koons, Paul McCarthy, Barbara Kruger, and more.
