After coming off an impressive exhibition at Lebasse Projects (covered) where he showed his versatility by focusing on sculptural works, Yoskay Yamamoto (interviewed) decided to try something new in his artistic career and go large scale (see in progress pics here). Set up through Branded Arts, the mural is actually his first and it clearly showed that he can paint his signature style on not only the small canvas. Using a variety of stencils to create an interesting pattern of white stars blending onto the bluish sea background, Yoskay didn’t leave any part of that wall without his creative imprint. The project took less that a week to complete and hopefully the LA-based painter will continue to explore this new direction.
