American photographer Spencer Tunick, known for organizing large-scale public nude photoshoots, has struck again – this time in Germany. The human installation created from 1,700 individuals marked the start of Munich’s 2012 opera season by gathering in formations recalling scenes from Richard Wagner’s opera Der Ring Des Nibelungen (The Ring of the Nibelung). Painted in red or gold, the participants were part of a project commissioned by the Bavarian State Opera.
