We recently had the pleasure of visiting the New Jersey studio space of artist Dylan Egon where he was preparing for his upcoming exhibition Art as Lifestyle. Held at the unique venue of reGeneration, this show opening December 1st will feature a hybrid of both fine art and furniture design. Dylan has crafted series of his signature “assemblages” that we’ve come to enjoy since we first saw them in Home of the Brave at Jonathan LeVine last year as well as some furniture stemming from the fusion of Dylan’s creative direction and reGeneration’s production which will make their debut at this show.

He is known for being a renown tabletop consultant and product stylist, but until our visit which revealed to us his secret cove of historic treasures Mr. Egon has aggregated over his lifetime, we never realized the extensive catalog of historic and pop gems that fuel Dylan’s intricate “assemblage” artwork. The collection includes things like an extensive inventory of Evel Knievel motorcycle paraphernalia & action figures, rare Hermes leather goods, and an irreplaceable collection of vintage Rolexes. Even the most staunch and proud collectors would find themselves in awe at what Dylan has amassed through his travels and projects. To see more of Dylan’s artwork, be sure to check out the opening this Saturday.
