It looks like the details to the new film Jellyfish Eyes from Takashi Murakami are slowly being fleshed out with the recent appearance of a teaser video. Scheduled for a release on April 26th, 2013 in Japan, the live-action feature film, the origins of which Murakami dreamt up over 10 years ago, appears to have some major players in the industry on board. Catch a glimpse of the movie below as well some the synopsis and some footage of the Mr. Superflat talking about the film below…

Set after a devastating earthquake has struck Japan, Jellyfish Eyes “follows a young boy who … has to move with his family to an ‘experimental city’ where each child is paired with a small monster. The ‘angry feeling’ of the children then gives these creatures great power, allowing them to grow from cuddly little companions to giant, omnivorous behemoths that tower over buildings and, in one especially gorgeous scene, tromp majestically through a misty forest. Havoc ensues.
