Brooklyn artist Julia Chiang recently unveiled a new body of work at New York’s Fuse Gallery. Entitled In And Out And In Between, this latest grouping created seem to be a confluence of styles which Julia has worked on previously. These new paintings are also hanging sculptures which combines Julia’s painted “drops” and hand crafted ceramic works. This unique three dimensional creation gives her flatly painted drops a sense of active movement reminiscent of Claymation. Combine this with Julia’s engaging color choices, this made for a show that was very enjoyable to attend in person.
