On Thursday night (August 1st), Roq La Rue will be hosting all new works from painter Tran Nguyen (alongside Jason “Ti Kunkit” Wheatley). After a couple showings in Los Angeles (here & here), A Place Procurred From Our Yesteryears will build on the delicate portraiture we have seen from her in the past with new acrylic & colored pencil pieces as well as some sketches. The imagery this time seems to be exploring the relationships between her characters and urban space as well as its implications.
