Currently showing at the Resnick Pavilion of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art through July 27rd is an exhibition featuring Alexander Calder’s kinetic sculptures. Calder and Abstraction: From Avant-Garde to Iconic is billed as his first museum show in Los Angeles and includes of course his signature “mobiles” and later “stabiles” that have made his work famous around the world. The installation of the exhibition was designed by architect Frank Gehry, and frames Calder’s work perfectly for the viewer. Check out more photos below, but make sure to stop by if you are in the greater Los Angeles area to enjoy it for yourself.
