Opening very soon (April 16th) at the ICA’s Lower Gallery in London is Tauba Auerbach’s first solo exhibition in the UK entitled The New Ambidextrous Universe. Consisting of seven all new pieces, the selection of work on display highlights the New York-based artist’s versatility in materials and mediums as well as her mathematical and structured approach to art making. From the patterns used to colors chosen to the dichotomy of symmetry and asymmetry, the genius of Auerbach’s work is how it creates beauty from the scientific principles she seeks to harness.
