After a look at the The Ninth Wave, a fishing boat installation from Cai Guo-Qiang’s hometown of Quanzhou carrying 99 fabricated animals, we now turn our attention to the exhibition with the same name at the Power Station of Art. Housed at a renovated power station in Shanghai, the ample space at the museum was a perfect setting for the Chinese artist’s work as well as the creative sessions (also see LA 2012) where pieces of commissioned art were produced utilizing his signature gunpowder technique.
