After sharing photos with you earlier this week from Tomokazu Matsuyama’s (interviewed) current showcase at Harbour City in Hong Kong, we now have word of what comes next at the Tsim Sha Tsui hotspot. Starting on September 18th, KAWS will make a return appearance with an ambitious new sculpture in the Ocean Terminal forecourt, site where his previous massive Passing Through companion was situated in 2010 (covered). Judging from the concept image above, this time around the piece will be more complex with multiples of the NY-based artist’s signature character involved. Hopefully for his fans, the new 23 foot tall sculptural rendition will travel to different cities around the world, just like his previous piece did after getting a start in Hong Kong.
