One thing the AM team will be sure to try and pick up during Basel Week Miami is this sweet collaboration between Barry McGee and Beats By Dre. The limited-edition Beats Pill, featuring one of the legendary Bay Area graffiti artist’s characters smoking a joint will be available at the NADA fair with a signing scheduled for December 5th, 1-3 pm.
McGee further states – “I have always been fascinated with the ‘weed culture’ within popular culture as a whole, but for some reason, I never really took part. I wanted to develop a contemporary ‘Zig-Zag man’ type character or mascot that speaks to that culture but that would also appeal to the masses. Something that operated like the brand Junk Food.”
