Currently on view at Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City is a solo show from Soey Milk entitled SINAVRO, which is a pure Korean word translated loosely to mean “to progress slowly, almost imperceptibly.” Those who have followed evolution of the young Los Angeles-based artist’s work certainly have seen a move toward richer backgrounds and more intricate detailing in her feminine portraiture. Head over before January 10th if you want to check out her new paintings and drawings as well as a few purely abstract pieces that seem to be a departure from her usual imagery.
