Three years since her last official print release, Katrin Fridriks last week released her latest edition Royal Gene&Ethics with Lazarides Editions. Being a perfectionist on all levels of her production, this print was over a year in the making and the final result looks truly impressive.

Using eight screen printed colors, the edition is based on one of her explosive black and white pieces from the Gene&Ethics series, one of which is currently on view at the Venice Biennale (covered). Known for mostly large size canvases and installations, the Icelandic artist created a print that is almost exactly true to the size of the original, measuring 130 cm square. In order to capture and present her unique and often textured paintings, the print has an added gloss varnish and embossed detailing. This signed and numbered limited edition of 70 prints has been available to purchase online since Thursday 24th September.
