Denver’s David B. Smith Gallery will be presenting new works from Laura Ball starting this Friday, October 16th. The new watercolors are collectively entitled Keep, a continuation of her exploration of the subconscious and the hero myth of Joseph Campbell. In San Diego-based artist’s mind, the amalgamations of creatures, bones, and flora form sanctuaries in her paintings where the endangered animals can find refuge in a rapidly declining world.
