On October 21st, Mark Jenkins (interviewed) will be opening a show at Ruttkowski;68 in Cologne, Germany, his third solo with the gallery. Knock Knock will feature more of the American artist’s signature witty sculptures utilizing the human form, with the latest body of work a play on the classic joke. With these freestanding pieces, mimicking his installations on the streets, as well as the more indoor based sculptural canvas flats, Jenkins’ hopes to “metaphorically knock on the viewer’s mind, calling norms into question again.”
