Showing: Aya Takano – “The Jelly Civilization Chronicle” @ Galerie Perrotin (Paris)

This weekend, Galerie Perrotin in Paris hosted the opening of a new show from Aya Takano entitled The Jelly Civilization Chronicle. The ethereal and dreamy 26 paintings and drawings on display are the preparatory studies for a 186-page manga of the same name from the Japanese artist. Expanding her fantastical storytelling skills from her imagination to artwork and now to manga, Takano is finally able to more fully share her vision – in this instance – the adventures of Naki and Minaka in a journey from the “Machine Civilization” to the “Jelly Civilization.” Learn more here.
