Continuing his long time collaboration with PradaJames Jean (interviewed) has followed up his recent work on their 2018 Resort Collection (covered) with work on their SS 2018 Collection. Comic books where the inspiration for the spring/summer season, something the Jean is familiar with as he first made his name creating the acclaimed cover illustrations for the comic series Fables as a young artist. This time around, he joins Belgium artist Ollie Schrauwen in turning the Prada space into the inside of a graphic novel for their runway show at Men’s Fashion Week in Milan. Of course, the collection which looked appropriately “part sci-fi, part future retroism” also featured their graphic imagery and were accented by thick black lines like the cells of a comic strip.
