After almost a year since AM took on Damien Hirst’s Spot Challenge and ran the gauntlet of 11 galleries around the globe, the reward has arrived for the 128 participants who completed the trip around the world. VickiPages – “Rednecked Falcon on Woodland” @ JuiceTank

The next artist on tap to work on the walls of the start-up incubator JuiceTank is VickiPages. Vic’s a unique artist that doesn’t shy away from his illustrative chops. One of his artistic projects he’s been focused on the past few years is The Camo Project, is a selection of illustrations that place specific animals along side camouflage patterns he’s designed and created. For this mural, he was challenged with a massive 17 x 8 foot wall and he answered with a new installment of the aforementioned series. Carmichael Gallery recently presented a popup exhibition for Eriberto and Estevan Oriol in the Big Apple. Entitled Like Father, Like Son : NYC, this exhibition is actually the second installment (first one was in LA) of a traveling retrospective from the renowned Chicano father and son photographic duo. The series of photographs on display show off their gritty and raw viewpoint of lifestyles from the streets of Los Angeles. Setup: KAWS – Companion Balloon for Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade

Every year, legions of people from around the nation flock to NYC for a little Thanksgiving time with friends & family. During this busy holiday weekend, one of the traditions is the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade. The day before the parade, tens of thousands visit the staging area to observe the balloon inflation ceremony next to the American Museum of Natural History.
