Four years after his last solo show in Paris (covered), graffiti artist Bom.K is returning to Paris for a solo show entitled Effects Secondaires (Side Effects) at Galerie Itinerrance opening on April 21st. The title of the exhibition refers to the sensations we managed to grasp from an artwork after enjoying the technique and subject. In addition, it also refers to one of the works in wood bearing the same name on the subject of overconsumption and the exhaustion of natural resources. Opening on the 12th of November, the exhibition will feature nineteen new works on paper and canvas. Remi Rough will redefine the idea of space and invite the viewer […]

Moving from figurative depiction, both artists are diving into a sphere of abstraction and dynamics, opening up their pictorial dialogue by exploring the abstract landscapes which emerge through the amalgamation of their creational spirits. This outcome results in movement and balance between hard edges and soft floating areas leaving the spectator’s mind split between serenity and anxiety. After nine months of preparation, Conor Harrington (interviewed) has opened a solo exhibition entitled Watch Your Palace Fall at Pace Gallery London in Soho. Continuing his narrative of politically charged oil paintings, the locally-based artist rendered fights between military male characters dressed in 18th century uniforms, with all the rage and thirst for power evident in their visages. The chase for power is certainly timeless and draws references to the contemporary political climate, as illustrated in Sluggers Paradise (2016), a large diptych featuring a tug of war and coloured to represent the classic blue and red of […]
