Previews: “Sea Sick in Paradise” @ Depart Foundation Malibu Village

Few things remind us of summer in America more than surfing and Southern California, specifically, Malibu. When you combine those two things with art, you have a fantastic timely mix for a warm weather exhibition. Just released (May 5) in limited New York theaters is BURDEN, a feature-length documentary on Chris Burden. The film, by Timothy Marrinan & Richard Dewey, provides an overview of the artist’s fascinating and controversial life through archival and original footage.
