Video: Charles Schulz Draws Charlie Brown

In the over 30 year history of the Peanuts comic strip, the iconic characters have been inspiration for generations of artists, with some recent renditions of Charlie Brown featured here on AM (see Banksy and Tim O’Brien).  Now comes an archived short clip from the never released documentary, A Boy Named Charlie Brown, of creator Charles Schulz drawing the lovable loser and talking about what the character means to him on a personal level. Releases: Andy Warhol x Incase (Part II)

Incase, who released a series of products featuring Andy Warhol imagery back in April has apparently moved on to phase II. The new collection will add on more protective casings and bags options featuring new images that showcase the pop artist’s versatility with a variety of media including silkscreening (Elvis, Advertisements), film (Empire) and hand-drawing (Telephone, Do It Yourself Flowers). Fame Fest ‘ 11: NeSpoon

As the opening (Sept. 24th) of the Fame Festival draws nearer, the last few artists will be touching down to put their mark on the walls of Grottaglie. Teaser: Nuart ’11

The lineup for this year’s Nuart Festival was recently announced with most of the artists participating featured on AM in the past including Dan Witz, David Choe, Vhils, Herbert Baglione, Lucy McLauchlan, Dolk, Herakut, Tellas, Escif, Hyuro, Phlegm, and DVS 1. Streets: REVOK, RIME, ROIDS, POSE, and OMENS (Chicago)

As you know, REVOK, RIME, and ROID recently opened a fantastic new show Perseverance at the Known Gallery in Los Angeles (covered). The three writers were actually in Detroit prior to the show working on the paintings and incubating ideas.
