Openings: Jeremy Fish – “The Road Less Traveled Tour” @ Upper Playground PDX

Jeremy Fish (featured) “The Road Less Traveled Tour,” which started in Denver, has reached it’s last stop at Fifty24PDX, Upper Playground Portland branch. As usual, the Fish mobile, Jeremy’s infamous van, was on site, bringing with it paintings, prints, books, and of course the man of the hour. Take a look at all the opening photos after the jump, sent to us by our friend Andrew Wong.

If you remember, AM recently brought you a first look at the KAWS museum show at The Aldrich as well as a peek at the upcoming Pinnochio and Jiminy Cricket figures. Apparently, High Snobiety also made the trek out to Connecticut and put together a nice video capturing footage of the paintings, installations, drawings, sculptural work, and art products that were part of the massive retrospective. Another group show recently opened at the recently opened 941 Geary Gallery in San Francisco featuring some of the young talent, as well as some more established artists. Last weekend, the traveling museum exhibition “TRANSFER” opened it’s doors at the new Brazilian Cultural Pavilion. In 2008, the first edition of the event was held at Santander Cultural in Porto Alegre, Brazil’s largest city in its southern region. This year, the show featuring “contemporary visual art, street art, skateboarding, independent music, as well as underground comics and fanzine art from the last two decades” is set in the cradle of Brazilian street art, Sao Paulo, hoping to duplicate or exceed the 80,000 visitors that […]

So, it looks like that full “Uncle Six-Eyes” figure (covered here) that was in the works from Travis Louie (interviewed) has been converted to a bust. The prototype from Big Shot Toyworks can be seen at this year’s SDCC but that’s not the only thing Travis has in store for his fans.
