Images of Kate Moss are a welcome sight anywhere they spring up. Such was the case with the 11 photographs on display at the Danzinger Projects (previewed) booth during PULSE Miami. Forming a limited edition portfolio of hand picked shots from throughout her storied 20+ year career, the iconic images provided a welcome respite from the sometimes overwhelming barrage of artwork more synonymous with Art Basel Week. With work from such venerable photographers as Chuck Close, Juergen Tell, and Annie Leibovitz, and packaging designed by […]

Mark Jenkins is back in the house, this time with something for (almost) everyone. He’s released two editions based on his publicly installed pieces – Flower Signs and Twins. We at AM have always loved his unique sculptures & installations, but rarely do we see an editioned piece from Jenkins. What we like about this is that both are hand made and individually signed. Get yours here while you can. Check out the image of the twins after the jump.
When it comes to artwork that stops you dead in your tracks and forces you to take a closer look, there are few artists that embody this show-stopping quality quite like Kris Kuski. Exhibiting with Joshua Liner Gallery at SCOPE Miami (teased), the Kansas based artist’s mixed-media assemblages seem to magnetically draw the viewer in close, acutely heightening their levels of perception in an attempt to catch every last nuanced detail. Utilizing a range of materials sourced in a near endless quest, Kris constructs his […]
Much like with the KAWS signing (covered), we informed you earlier in the week that Barry McGee would host a signing for his new book at the Ratio 3 booth during Art Basel Miami Beach. His impressive clusters constructed at the Bay Area booth (covered), much like those at the Roberts & Tilton’s space (covered), served as the perfect backdrop for Barry to spend some time with fans and beautify some copies of his brilliantly assembled book produced by Alleged Press and Damiani Editore. The […]
As we reported earlier in the week, The Standard Miami served as ground zero today for a more intimate, less rushed signing of KAWS’ new book with Rizzoli, where guests were invited to sit down with the artist and share some time. Partnering with OHWOW, the local gallery who seemingly has their hands in everything special going on during Art Basel Week, the swanky pop-up shop was ripe with exclusively published art books, a selection of artwork and custom products only offered for the weekend […]
With the release of his regal Snow Yak Print Portfolio (covered) barely in the rear view mirror, Mark Ryden has revealed details for his next release – a set of vinyl toy figures. Over a year ago, the artist unveiled his first vinyl toy, YHWH (covered), in collaboration with Necessaries Toy Foundation. As a follow up to the original Pink figure, a Black and White version will now be released together as a limited-edition set (only 100), elegantly distributed in a gold-embossed box along with […]
Come next week, the ubiquitous UK supermodel Kate Moss will be trading the fashion show for the art fair. Debuting at Miami’s contemporary art fair PULSE, the model will be unveiling a portfolio of 11 of her most precious images personally picked from two decades worth of material, each shot by a different photographer. Curated in collaboration with James Danzinger over the past year and a half, the portfolio designed by Ruth Ansel will be released as a limited edition of 30 sets and will […]

Zerofriends has just finished a mini film/commercial for Greg Simkins’ new book “Drawn from the Well”. The new book was available at his opening exhibition (covered) but if you weren’t able to make it that night you can still get your copy here. Discuss Greg Simkins here.
For those Mark Ryden fans out there who have the bankroll, Porterhouse will be releasing a beautiful new print portfolio based on his Snow Yak show. The set will include all 10 images (eight paintings and two drawings) from the exhibition held in Japan in 2009 at the Tomio Koyama Gallery, come in an edition of 50, and cost you $4750.
