Ernesto Yerena has a new project and this time, it’s of the Cuban leader Fidel Castro. Working with our friends at Modern Multiples (featured), Ernesto is set to release another dual editioned silk screened print on Hecho Con Ganas this Thursday (Feb 4th). Releases: Gary Baseman – “Midnight Magi” Figure

Today, Gary Baseman (interviewed) is set to release his first figure “Midnight Magi” with toy maker Kidrobot. This heralds the launch of Kidrobot Black, an ultra-exclusive line that features only one colorway – black, with the molds being broken after production. The cool figure is limited to only 200 pieces and will only be released on a special Kidrobot site: http://www.black.kidrobot.com. So, keep your eyes peeled for the special site to go live. Releases – KAWS – “OriginalFake 4′ Companion”

Confirmed for a noon release tomorrow (probably eastern time), the last in a series of 4 foot companions from KAWS will be up for grabs. The black dissected will sell out quickly no doubt at anywhere from 4-6K we would guess. Good luck! Hirst x Louis Vuitton

After some angst about getting recognition for his hand-painted art (here & here) as opposed to his “factory” produced pieces, Damien Hirst returns briefly to more commercial endeavors. No stranger to artist collaborations, Louis Vuitton joined up with Hirst to produce what looks to be a new line of luggage with his signature butterflies and effects. For KAWS collectors who follow the elusive and highly coveted 4 foot companion series, (here & here) it’s been a forgone conclusion that the final 4ft black dissected companion would be released. The real question was when? Well, it’s just been confirmed that the final dissected companion (black) of the 4 foot series will be released December 19th at the Original Fake Tokyo flagship store.
