If you have been following artist Aurel Schmidt’s work, you may notice that she prefers to draw litter, debris, or ephemera that you could find in any trash bin or on the ground within a few steps of any busy city street. Take, for example, the above drawing. If you recall, we brought you some photos from the opening of “Size Does Matter” show curated by Shaquille O’Neal at the Flag Art Foundation. Now comes the video from PBS where Shaq was interviewed and talks about his three favorite pieces (Ron Mueck’s “Big Man”, Willard Wigan’s “Micro Shaq”, and some mini-elevators) among other things.
