For those Audrey Kawasaki (interviewed) fans out there, if you haven’t heard already, scheduled for later today is a rare print release from the LA-based artist. At 1:00 PM Pacific Time, “Migawari” will be available on her webstore (pre-registration required) with a framed and unframed option. Later tonight, Sarah Joncas (interviewed) will be opening her show “Siren” at the Thinkspace Gallery in Culver City alongside Dabs Myla. Looking through the new body of work, you really get a sense that Sarah’s vision and technique is beginning to mature and grow. Dan Quintana, whom we last saw show at Copro Gallery in January, is opening a new exhibition at the Last Rites Gallery in New York this weekend. The new body of work entitled “Ethos Astry” will be sure to include Quintana’s beautiful women, often masked in elaborate headdresses with a grotesque twist. Priced only at $10, this 4″ x 6″ print entitled “White Devil”, is a promotional print for his forthcoming book White. Also look for Hussar in the fast approaching Baby Tattooville this year.
