Upcoming: Andreas Englund – “Superlife Uncut” @ Distinction Gallery

On July 8th, Distinction Gallery in Escondido, California will be opening a solo show by Andreas England entitled Superlife Uncut. On view will be the Swedish artist’s signature humerous portraiture of an aging superhero and the details of his everyday mundane life. Timed to be on display during the San Diego Comic-Con, the exhibition will be perfect subject matter for fans to make the trek up north to catch a glimpse of England’s paintings. Continuing his long time collaboration with Prada, James Jean (interviewed) has followed up his recent work on their 2018 Resort Collection (covered) with work on their SS 2018 Collection. Yoskay Yamamoto // LA Film Festival

Those of you who have seen billboards advertising for this year’s LA Film Festival may have recognized the imagery of Yoskay Yamamoto (interviewed). The Los Angeles-based artist’s familiar characters and palette also grace the materials associated with the event including website and newspaper ads. Those of you who remember seeing the September 2016 issue of Juxtapoz may recognize this image from James Jean (interviewed) that will be released as a print soon.
