Openings: “Family Tradition” curated by Ron English @ TT Underground Gallery

AM caught the opening of “Family Tradition” at TT Underground Gallery. Curated by Ron English, the group show re-imagines one of the classic mob sagas through the eyes of art. The show featured artists such as Eric White, Travis Louie, Mark Dean Veca, Triston Eaton, Mike Shinoda, Chet Zar to name a few. Check out all the opening night mayhem after he jump.

Showing: Dan Bergeron aka Faux Reel @ Show & Tell Gallery

Dan Bergeron (aka Faux Reel) has a cool show at Toronto’s Show & Tell Gallery. The ever clever street artist created a body of work utilizing the distressed surface of the street and integrates them with the charm & familiarity of the human face. Openings: “Beyond The Street” Book Signing @ Subliminal Projects

Subliminal Projects was the host venue for a joint event on Thursday, September 16th: the Los Angeles launch and signing for the book Beyond the Street, followed by the opening reception for Shepard Fairey’s Printed Matters exhibition (covered). Supakitch & Koralie mural @ Varldskultur Museum, Gothenburg

AM friends and super French art duo Supakitch and Koralie were recently in Gothenburg, Sweden, for the set-up and opening of “Kimono Fusion,” an exhibition of Japanese fashion mixed with pop, street and graffiti culture at the Varldskultur (World Culture) Museum. In addition to having work in the show, the two spent a few days creating an amazing mural, documented in the video above. Jose Parla’s Concord Project Destined for The City of Toronto

There’s been a lot of buzz between Toronto and Brooklyn regarding Jose Parla’s incredible mural/installation called The Concord Project. We’ve pieced together this moving story with the help of our friend Simon at Show & Tell Gallery in Toronto. Basically, these pieces are destined for Toronto as a public arts project sponsored by Concord Pacific, in an effort to give back to the community. Streets: Anthony Lister in London

Directly following the opening of his installation at NYC’s Standard Hotel, Australian artist Anthony Lister (interviewed) hauled across the pond to visit London for a few days. AM contributor Patrick Nguyen caught up with him on Friday for a chat and to take some photographs as Lister spray painted two shutters and the adjoining pillar at Pictures On Walls on Commercial Street.
