Coming to Moscow on Sept. 8th and running for three weeks is a show featuring legendary New York street artist Richard Hambleton. The exhibition, which celebrates his illustrious 40 year career, has seen stops in New York and Milan. It will include 30 original paintings, including 15 never-before-seen works by the reclusive 1980’s star. After visiting the Atlantik Wall and dropping off some well-armed insects for battle, Paris-based street artist LUDO (interviewed) returned home and put up some more subtle work. The details behind this video are a little bit murky, but what we like about it is that we get to see the elusive Poster Boy or one of the members of his “collective” in action. Although we don’t especially find these particular works that impressive, seeing that razor blade in action is pretty cool. We just got wind of a pretty cool project Os Gemeos has been working on – an animated feature based on their beloved imagery and characters. Although the twins are using more traditional methods, this brings to mind Blu and his graffiti-animations. We can’t wait to see what the brothers from Brazil will bring with their imagination in this new medium.
