Baby Tattooville ’09: Buff Monster

Benefit: Herakut Live Painting (Berlin)

Herakut is doing a live painting session in Berlin on October 8th at the “Style Project Room” (sponsored by stylemag.net and Partisan Vodka). This “One Night – One Piece” event will take place from 7-11 pm at Schonhauser Allee 8, Berlin Mitte. Hera (interviewed) tells us that she and Akut will be working on a triptych with one of the pieces being donated to the “Berliner CharitÃ©,” which is a hospital. Just coming off the opening of his solo show in Paris, C215 is already getting ready to conquer another country. This time, he is collaborating with another stencil master, Logan Hicks (interviewed), for a show in Canada at Show & Tell Gallery.Â Opening November 6th, “Parallel Universe” will no doubt showcase the strengths of both artists, their complex stencils. Last week, Miss Van brought her signature “poupes” for a well-received visit to the StolenSpace gallery in London. “Love Stain” (teased) was definitely a special show as it was a retrospective (with new works as well) that showcased the many stages and facets of her work. You can imagine the significance and breadth of this exhibition as the French but now Barcelona-based artist has been painting in the streets for almost 20 years. More images after the jump…

Fresh off their stint from Norway at this year Nuart Festival (covered), Swoon (Interviewed) and Ben Wolf stopped off in Berlin for a show at Urban Art Info Gallery. The show “Squinches and Pendentives” was held in UAI’s large gallery space which allowed the artists to really showcase their styles. The space allowed Ben to build his impressive and self reflective installations/sculptures.
