There was much speculation and rumors regarding their new works which included Wood Palettes and Prayer Wheels. AM recently previewed some exclusive images for the coming show, but we never could imagine what the final product would be… Judging from the last night’s tremendous opening, it’s apparent that Faile brought the “heavy lumber” directly from New York and transformed this schoolhouse […]

Teaser: Paul Insect @ Fifty24SF Gallery

AM friend Rhinomilk sent some pics of setup for the Paul Insect show at Fifty24F Gallery for our readers to peruse.  This show, his first solo in the States, is entitled “Idea of Freedom” and will open tomorrow night in SF. “The exhibition aims to bring to our attention how our ‘idea of freedom’ is simply a facade for technology’s overbearing reach into our everyday lives and happiness. How ‘hope’ is measured by new emails and updates on our favorite blogs and sex sites. How […]

Dan Witz: Kilroy Variations

Dan Witz has posted up some images up of his project the “Kilroy Variations,” his take on the ubiquitous “Kilroy was here” graffiti.  He originally this project in 2006, but this 2008 update has evolved quite a bit since it’s beginnings. This version has various photo-realistic people as well as cartoons peeping through or sticking fingers out through vents and ducts.  These are photo-based, re-painted stickers, mounted on plastic and then glued on walls/doors.  I think if it was dark and you came upon these suddenly, it could be quite […]
