AM was on hand for the opening of Nick Walker’s (interviewed) “A Sequence of Events” show and book launch at Black Rat Press. There was a great turnout to see the original images from the book, which was a retrospective of the past ten years of Nick’s and also included some new imagery. Nick was on hand to sign copies of the book for fans, many of whom had waited much of the day to score the two now sold-out prints released at the opening. […]

Adam NeateÂ has a new work titled “The Concert Pianist” and it looks amazing. Check out the background where Adam incorporates an audience using a photograph. His evolution from street artist to fine artist is progressing nicely as this piece is a finalist for the prestigious “Country Life Object of the Year” competition at this yearâ€™sÂ Olympia International Art and Antiques FairÂ being held from June 5th-14th in London. Showing: Reinking Urban Art Collection @ Weserburg Museum (Germany)

Hamburg-based collector Rik Reinking is displaying his collection of urban art for all to see at the Weserburg Museum in Germany. The show includes works from Herbert Baglione, Banksy, Blu, Boxi, Brad Downey, Mark Jenkins, Miss Van, Mode 2, Os GÃªmeos, Mirko Reisser (DAIM), Shepard Fairey, Space Invader, Swoon, Zevs among others. The exhibition will be supplemented by an attractive supporting program with workshops, walks through town, film evenings, discussions and work in the streets. German collaborative street art sensation Herakut (interviewed) opened their show “No Placebos” last night at Red Flagg in New York. Plenty of fans were in attendance, despite the fact that it was a “surprise” show with it being announced only the day before the opening. Last night, Louis Vuitton premiered a show they curated entitled A Passion for Creation at the Hong Kong Museum of Art with a shortlist of some of the top names in Contemporary Art.Â Some of the artists included Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jeff Koons, Paul Chan, Cao-Fei, Yang Fudong, Gilbert & George, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Andreas Gursky, Pierre Huyghe, Bertrand Lavier, and Christian Marclay. German duo Herakut (interviewed) are hard at work preparing for a surprise show tomorrow night at Red Flagg. The show, entitled “No Placebos,” will run through July 3rd and opens with a reception from 6-8 pm with the artists in attendance and available for signing their recently published monograph The Perfect Merge.Â Hot off their successful exhibition with Campbarbossa, look for them to continue to impress with this New York show.
