Take a look at this sweet new street piece from Escif entitled “Black Kiss.” We were originally going to save this for Valentine’s but we also wanted to take the chance to tell our SF readers about his upcoming show at Fifty24SF in June. Streets: Sweet Toof stops the press in London

Looks like Sweet Toof has been re-appropriating an undisclosed number of Metro newspapers in an interventionist culture-jamming caper. Sweet Toof has got his teef into the front, back and centrefold pages of the paper, so check today’s ‘free-press’ at underground tube stations throughout London and try and find a copy for yourself ahead of Sweet Toof’s exhibition opening tonight. Having A Dig opens at Arch 402 Gallery, Cremer Street, London E2 tonight, and runs until 3rd February. Discuss Sweet Toof here.

We came across these sculptural street pieces recently from Christiaan Nagel placed last year scattered around on the East End in London. The colorful mushrooms are made from polyurethane, fiber glass, and stainless steel and are placed on top of buildings and roofs. Not sure if these are an ongoing series from the artist but we kinda hope it is. More photos via Street Art London after the jump…

Streets: ROA (Salten Sea)

It look like while ROA was in Los Angeles for his pop-up show (covered), he found time to take a little detour to the Salten Sea. While there, the Belgium artist painted a fish in his signature style to mark his passage. It certainly is a telling piece as the fertilizer runoff combined with the increasing salinity is certainly threatening the survival much of the fish species there. Agata Oleksiak or simply known has Olek has come into prominence recently for her crocheted interventions on the streets. Although more commonly known for her bikes, the “Crochet Guerrilla” recently created a “sweater” for the famed Charging Bull or “Wallstreet Bull” in New York. Interestingly enough, the sculptor, Arturo Di Modica, originally installed the bull (costing the artist $360,000 of his own money) without permission in front of the New York Stock Exchange in December 1989 so this new work is somewhat of a homage […]

Known for their hanging wooden shoes, it looks like they hung up something different this time above the cleverly incorporated door for this street piece. This piece in London entitled Maz + Joe is a twist on the usual story this time of year with Mary riding something other than a Donkey, but it looks like all the places to sleep are still full. Streets: WK Interact (Paris)

It looks like Paris recently received a hefty dose of WK Interact and also may have gotten a glimpse at a different side of the NY-based artist. The bondage-inspired works were considerably smaller than the huge mural WK just completed in Mexico (covered), but nevertheless, still made a strong impact on the City of Lights. It looks like Judith Supine was recently in Los Angeles for a visit. While in town, he took time to throw up several of his signature “green skinned” collaged pieces including one that was put in New Image Art’s show (covered) in Miami for Art Basel Week.
