The David B. Smith Gallery and artist Gregory Euclide recently released a series of prints from his Laid Down & Wiped Away project. Euclide teaches high school in Minnesota and during his twenty-five minute lunch periods began creating temporary paintings within that short allotted time frame as a demonstration to his students and an aesthetic challenge. Releases: Ai Weiwei – “Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2012”

For those Ai Weiwei fans out there who would love to add something from the Chinese artist to their collection, here might be an affordable opportunity. The Serpentine Gallery has released a silkscreen print (signed and numbered) from AWW which will be limited to 200, sized at 84 x 84 cm, and cost £300 (excl. VAT). Preview: Luke Chueh – “Bearing the Unbearable” Signing @ Spoke Art

Tomorrow night (July 5th) in San Francisco, Luke Chueh (interviewed) will be continuing his Bearing the Unbearable book signing tour (see Los Angeles). Also, of interest to Bay Area fans will be the release of new prints from his popular sushi series of paintings, with the originals created for a 2009 showing in LA. Releases: Jeff Soto – “Seeker Friends #4: The Gardener”

Back in March, we introduced you to a new line of prints from Jeff Soto (interviewed) entitled Seeker Friends. The series of limited editions were from Prints On Wood with each one available for 24 hours after a specified date and time. Each 6″ x 6″ print costs $25 + shipping with $1 of every sale going to plant one tree through the Plant A Billion Trees program. Releases: Ron English – “American Depress” @ Kidrobot

Ron English (featured) recently created a new vinyl sculpture with toy maker Kidrobot for their ultra limited Kidrobot Black line. Entitled American Depress, the 12-inch figure depicts Ron’s version of a bloated Mickey Mouse ensnared in a Amex “Black Card” credit trap. Preview: Yayoi Kusama x Louis Vuitton Pop-Up Stores

It looks like Louis Vuitton is going all in with their new Infinitely Kusama collaborative line with Japanese avant-garde artist Yayoi Kusama. The French fashion house is planning seven special pop-up shops around the globe decorated with Kusama’s signature dot motif as well as her pumpkin sculptures to match her inspired clothing and products. The first store will open in New York on July 10th, two days before Kusama’s touring retrospective opens at the Whitney Museum.
