After showing across the pond last year in London, Evan Hecox will returning to the states for his latest solo at the Joshua Liner Gallery, site of his last New York exhibition in 2009. Releases: Parra x Kidrobot – “Pierced” Figure

On June 7th, Kidrobot will be releasing (in-store and online) a new figure from Dutch artist Parra entitled Pierced. The 10-inch vinyl sculpture is inspired by the melodramatic cover art of romance novels and based on imagery from his original silkscreen artwork. The entwined figures which demonstrate the simultaneous pain and pleasure that many experience while in love will set collectors back $150 and will be limited to an edition of 300. Via mashKULTURE.

Dedicated to making his art accessible to all his fans regardless of their economic status, SABER (interviewed) has just released a set of flag lino prints priced affordably on his webstore. Available in red, green, and blue, the 6″ x 8″ editions are limited to 50 each and despite their price ($85), each hand finished. Aaron Horkey fans out there, tomorrow will be your next chance to get ahold of one of his works, albeit a limited edition. His Andrew Bird screenprint will be available at Friday, May 18th at “around” 2pm Central Time at Postersandtoys. Although the attention of KAWS fans is focused on Asia right now as the NY-based artist has landed in Hong Kong in preparation for his solo at Galerie Perrotin on the 15th, they are reminded that he still has a ongoing exhibition at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta (covered). The museum will be releasing today PAPER SMILE, a 25″ x 20″ screenprint in an edition of 100. For those interested and have $1400 to spend, you should contact the museum before it sells out. […]

At a random time today, Mondo will be releasing a new Avengers poster from Tyler Stout on their website. Coinciding with the opening of the movie that brings together some of Marvel’s most iconic superheroes, the new image features representation of the entire team as well as the villain Loki. Releases: Josh Keyes x Tiny Showcase – “The Collector” Print

It looks like Tiny Showcase has another quality release on their hands. The Collector from Josh Keyes (interviewed) will be available for purchase from now until May 8th with some of the proceeds to benefit International Rhino Foundation. After a signing at Colette and Galerie LJ, Parisian-based artist Fafi will be hosting a book release party at Gallery Nucleus in Alhambra, California tomorrow night, April 16th. Along with the meet and greet, fans will be treated to mini-show of her new work as well as some limited edition items. The new publication, The Carmine Vault, is a graphic novel bringing the French graf legend’s world to life while following a character called Birtak and his desire to join the Paris Opéra Ballet.
