Releases: Audrey Kawasaki – “Where I Rest” Open Edition Print

For those jonesing for an Audrey Kawasaki (interviewed) print, but are overwhelmed by those with more more nimble fingers on the day of the release – here is finally an opportunity to add one to your collection easily. Where I Rest, a painting from the Merry Karnowsky show, has been made in to an open edition now available here. The 14.75″ x 22.25″ on giclee, priced at $80, will be signed but not numbered. Releases: Aiko – “Lady Butterfly” Sculpture (Cherry)

You may remember last year when we told you about Aiko’s Lady Butterfly figure. The initial silver version drop on Valentine’s Day last year and subsequent black version release sold out rapidly, but in about an hour, this year’s V-day cherry version will be available here. Painter Candice Tripp has been working on the image for her next print release. As you can see, this screenprint will be generous in size and will include a subset of hand-finished editions. It will be produced through Black Rat Projects, where the UK-based artist will have a solo showing in June. She has also been working on some illustrations for a story written by Gogol Bordello. Tomorrow, February 6th, Jeremy Geddes (interviewed) will be releasing his Cluster painting (destined for Jonathan LeVine at the end of the year) as a print. Combine one of the most respected print production companies out there with an artist whose attention to detail is well-documented and the outcome of their collaboration is almost per-ordained to be incredible. UK-based street muralist Phlegm has really outdone himself this time. Using his intricate drawing skills, he has created a three part piece that when combined features an entire world on the shoulders of one his characters. Ron English – Barack Obama x Hulk & Fat Tony Sculpt

Playing to his strengths of appropriating pop culture for his own unique creations, Ron English (featured) has recently revealed two projects he has been working on. The first is the melding of Barack Obama and The Incredible Hulk into one amazing sculpt although we aren’t quite sure what the message is.
