Acclaimed Cuban-American artist, Jorge Rodriguez Gerada has released a truly historic hand finished etching print (limited to 200) based on his iconic Terrestrial Portrait, Out of Many, One, that took The National Mall by storm this past October. On November 18th, next Tuesday, starting at 8:00 AM PST, James Jean (interviewed) will be releasing another timed edition. Entitled Seasons, it will have an image size of 22.25 x 37″ and paper size of 24 x 40″, and will cost $200. On November 8th, at 12 PM PST, Audrey Kawasaki (interviewed) will be releasing her latest print thru her online store. The image chosen, entitled Manic, was one of the paintings from her recent show (covered) at Merry Karnowsky Gallery in Los Angeles. The generously sized print measures 16.75″x30″ (includes 1/8″ white border), comes signed and numbered in an edition of 250, and will cost $270 (framed for $495). Going back to his comic book roots, James Jean (interviewed) revealed a project over the weekend at New York Comic Con that he has been working on with Good Smile. The Japanese manufacturer of hobby products is teaming up with Nickelodeon and Jean to create new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures based on his illustrations.
