Another artist participating in this year’s Murals In The Market in Detroit has released a print in association with the event. Luke Chueh’s (interviewed) contribution through 1xRUN is entitled Graffiti, a tongue-in-cheek image based on a painting from 2008 entitled Graffiti (I Don’t Do…). On Thursday, September 24th, Jen Stark will be releasing a new good-sized print entitled Drip Cascade. The imagery used is easily recognizable as one from a series of works from the Los Angeles-based artist playing with psychedelic colors and patterns. Produced in an edition of 200 (with 9 AP’s), it measures 24″ x 30″, and will cost $550. Head over here at 4 pm Eastern Time if you are interested in adding it to your collection. Jeff Soto (interviewed) has just teamed up with 1xRUN for a print release entitled Owl Of Infinite Knowledge. This newest offering from the Riverside-based artist featuring the nocturnal bird of prey is part of the Murals In The Market Featured Artist Print Series, corresponding with the Murals In the Market festival opening later this week. In association with the new solo from Mark Jenkins (interviewed) that just opened at the Fabien Castanier Gallery in Los Angeles (covered), the artist has released some limited editions through Freeway Editions. The Baby tape sculptures come in four different colors and are produced in a run of 10 each and is something every fan of the American street artist recognizes as the medium that is his original claim to fame. Later today, Kozyndan will be releasing a new print from their webstore entitled Captives: Orcas and Pandas. The new image is the third in their Animal OddCouples series of works where they pair two animals that struggle due to human activity around the world. They may be different species, but their struggle for survival is that same against mankind’s aggression and carelessness. Psychedelic Space is the soon to be released book from Kelsey Brookes from Gingko Press that explores his last three years of work. The 216 page hardcover documents his more recent paintings, spanning four solo shows, the explosive patterns that are his artistic vision of molecular structures of the psychedelic nature. Tomorrow (August 25th) between 10 – 11 am PDT, Shepard Fairey (featured) will be releasing a new edition entitled Water Is The New Black. The print will come in a run of 450 and cost $55 with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the National Resources Defense Council.
