Coinciding with his current exhibition at Heron Arts in San Francisco, Mars-1 (featured) has released a set of bronze sculptures titled Mars Molecule Collection that mirror the large scale pieces in the show. The sculpts are three dimensional representations of the SF-based artist organic otherworldly paintings and were first revealed in this year’s Burning Man. Those interested in the gothic surreal imagery of Esao Andrews might want to get their hands on a copy of Contrast Magazine. The latest issue features a nice full color cover with one of the Los Angeles-based artist’s reoccurring images, various iterations of a ghostly ship. Inside the Hawaii-based publication you will find a nice spread of Andrews’ work along with a lengthy interview. Those who enjoyed the stunning new works from Ian Francis (featured) for a showing earlier this summer (covered) at Lazarides had an opportunity earlier this week to purchase some prints of images seen at the exhibition. Nick Walker (interviewed) will have a new print entitled The Last Ride on sale on Monday, the 12th October, at 3.30pm DST UK time. The print was inspired by a portrait by Butterfly featuring the UK artist in his signature vandal outfit riding a carousel horse next to the Eiffel Tower during a visit to the French capital. James Marshall aka Dalek (interviewed) recently released a 38 color handpulled silkscreen through Dynamo Editions. Untitled 101 comes with a paper size of 26 inches by 26 inches and an image size of 24 1/2 inches x 24 1/2 inches and was produced in an edition size of 50. FinBec winery in Sion, Switzerland, is continuing their annual MyFinBec art project with a completely new concept. This year, they are commissioning artists to paint canvases for their limited edition organic wines, as well as number of sketches on wood panels, and they just announced their first artist for this year is Bezt from Etam Cru, who also collaborated with the winery last year (covered). Three years since her last official print release, Katrin Fridriks last week released her latest edition Royal Gene&Ethics with Lazarides Editions. Being a perfectionist on all levels of her production, this print was over a year in the making and the final result looks truly impressive.
