It’s been a while (2010) since we met up with gifted painter Tiffany Bozic, but now comes news that a book she has been working on is finally ready. Drawn By Instinct, produced by Gingko Press, includes over 150 color illustrations in its 192 pages featuring her beautiful renderings of the natural world. The Campbell’s Soup company will be releasing some limited edition (albeit 1.2 million of them) cans inspired by Andy Warhol’s imagery to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Warhol’s iconic 32 Campbell’s Soup Cans. Approved by the Andy Warhol Foundation, these new cans will be available starting Sunday at your local Target stores at 75 cents each. *edit* It appears some Targets have released them early *edit* Photo via AP / WOKV. Husband and wife artistic duo Kozyndan have released a new print featuring the joining of two of their favorite creatures – Sharks and Cats. Entitled Hunters: Charks an’ Kittehs, the limited edition comes in a run of 150, is signed & numbered, and is sized at 30 x 24 inches (plus 3 inch borders). For Tim Biskup (featured) fans out there, he recently released a new print entitled Doom Loop #19 on his webstore. The image featuring his distinctive refractive style is taken from a painting for his upcoming solo show in Milan at Antonio Colombo Arte Contemporanea opening on September 20th. Published in assosiation with Art & Council, the print comes in a signed & numbered edition of 20, is sized at 40 x 30″ and costs $500. Artist Wes Lang has a new print entitled Warrior Skull. This image is the centerpiece of the new Grateful Dead box set Spring 1990. There’s two versions of this limited edition, the first is a run of 50 sized at 17″ x21″ and the second is a run of 10 sized at 34″ x 41″. Get yours here if interested. This Sunday, August 19th, the Epic Lounge in Downey, California will be hosting a screening of Bumblebeelovesyou by Handi. As the title suggests, the short documentary is about local street artist Bumblebee. Also available for purchase will be a nice little limited edition release from the urban “beekeeper” entitled Bee Is For Ballerina in an run of 20 (spraypaint and watercolor on paper) for those interested. In preparation for his upcoming show at Jonathan LeVine Gallery, artist Joe Sorren (featured) has a fresh print lined up for fans. Entitled My Aim Is True, the Arizona-based artist mentioned that its title is from an Elvis Costello song he was listening to while painting and conveyed the concept of “faith” of which the painting was getting at.
