AM was invited to Bed Stuy’s Brooklynite Gallery this weekend to witness Peru Ana Ana Peru putting the finishing touches on their gallery debut “…And Then We Jumped Into the Abyss of Numbers.” Up until now, the enigmatic duo have mostly been known for their cryptic eponymous tags found throughout Brooklyn. Releases: kozyndan – “Spring in Nakano” for Giant Robot Biennale 2 @ Japanese American National Museum

Famous for their panoramics, kozyndan created one just for the Giant Robot Biennalle (teased) opening next weekend at the Japanese American National Museum (JANM).Â Entitled “Nakano in Spring,” the piece will be released as a print (limited to 1200) sized approximately at 39″ x 8,” each is signed and numbered.Â Take a look at this nice 360 degree QuickTimeVR that they created of the image. ABOVE (interviewed) has put up another creative street piece, this time in Paris. We love how he mixed in some of his older work (the arrows) with his newer stuff.Â Also, nice touch with continuing to add 3-dimensional elements to his stencils.Â You can see more of his videos here. Friday night, AM was at Cinders Gallery in Brooklyn to check out the opening of “Cutters,” an exciting group show of collage artists curated by James Gallagher. Brendan Monroe (interviewed) premiered a new body of work at Richard Heller Gallery over the weekend. In addition to some fantastic organic and biologically inspired paintings, he also delighted show attendees with several impressive installations. After months of following the goings on at Italy’sÂ FAME Fest (see our coverage here), AM decided to take a trip to Grottaglie to find out if all those pieces were really as incredible as they appeared. Letâ€™s just say that we were far from disappointed. From the murals painted within the ancient monastery and on the walls around town to the fantastic private preview dinner and packed opening night reception showcasing work from all the artists, FAME is every street art fanâ€™s dream come true. “Lost in the Thicket” opened last night in Culver City and AM was on hand at LeBasse Projects to take inÂ Nate Frizzell’s solo show. Our first impression of this new body of work (during an earlier studio visit) was one of appreciation at the increasing maturity in this young artist’s talent. Jeff Koons Rabbit in Covent Garden (London)

Apparently, a 53-foot inflatable rabbit found shelter inside London’s Covent Garden for a little while. Courtesy of one of the biggest Pop artists working today, Jeff Koons, the familiar rabbit is part of the Tate Modern’s current exhibition “Pop Life: Art in a Material World.” It is a floating replica of a figure that was produced in stainless steel in 1986.Â That sculpture is currently on display at the Tate.
