The upcoming summer group show (teased/previewed) at Joshua Liner Gallery is packed with heavyweight artists with whom frequent AM readers will already be familiar, such as Dave Kinsey, Joe Sorren and Greg Simkins (interviewed). However, the show will likely be many people’s introduction to several up-and-coming young artists. One of those whom we are particularly interested in is Canadian painter Tristram Lansdowne. Artist friendly clothing company RVCA recently opened their “Whammy! “show (teased) at their retail space/gallery VASF in San Francisco. Â Focusing entirely on domestic talent, “Whammy!” features the artwork of such stateside luminaries as Jeff Soto (interviewed), Dave Kinsey, Anthony Lister (interviewed), Kelsey Brookes and Tiffany Bozic, to name a few. FAME Festival: Mark Jenkins, Sam3, and Vhils

Mark Jenkins is shaking things up at FAME Festival (covered here). AM’s favorite tape sculptor has grabbed Grottaglie’s attention with an impressive installation on one of the town’s characteristically charming buildings.Â As directorÂ Angelo Milano describes it, “Everybody was cool and smiling, including the old lady screaming, â€œGgiovine!?! Ggiovvine!! Ascinne!” (English: “Hey boy!?! Hey boy!! Get down!”)
