Miniature photographer Slinkachu recently posted up a new street installation on his blog entitled The Last Resort. This piece is the first of many in a new body of work he is preparing for his solo Concrete Ocean at Andipa Gallery coming up in March. This will be his second show at the London gallery and if his last show there was any indication, fans will be treated to an intriguing mixture of new images and installations. More Christmas greetings come from street miniature photographer Slinkachu. This piece in London entitled Maz + Joe is a twist on the usual story this time of year with Mary riding something other than a Donkey, but it looks like all the places to sleep are still full. Probably one of the last artists (see other artists here) to stop by Grottaglie before the Fame Festival opening next weekend is street miniature photographer Slinkachu. The London-based artist worked his magic with his street installations in the Italian town that would probably go unnoticed if you didn’t know where to look. The London book launch for Gestalten’s “Beyond the Street: The 100 Leading Figures in Urban Art” took place on Friday last week at Phillips de Pury’s Victoria headquarters to a healthy crowd and with a celebratory vibe. Many of the book’s contributors joined the editors of the book, Patrick Nguyen and Stuart Mackenzie, to toast the success of just how well this mammoth publication turned out. We brought you some news last week of the impending book release and launch parties in London and New York that publisher Gestalten is planning for “Beyond the Street: The 100 Most Important Figures in Urban Art”, and now some further details have been released regarding the London launch party co-hosted by Gestalten and Simon de Pury.
