Our friends over at VNA are getting ready to release the newest issue of their publication and have put together a nice promotional video. Included is some footage from Roa at work, for which we tagged along if you remember, and who is also the cover artist for Issue 12. Roa will also be making 100 screenprinted covers for a limited edition version for this issue and the release party will be at Pure Evil Gallery on August 12th. More details after the jump…

On Wednesday night, The Citrus Report is going to open it’s doors with a pop-up show for it’s first ever “Open Office” by taking over the old Fifty24SF gallery space at 252 Filmore Street from August 11th – 26th. Streets: Os Gemeos x Futura in NYC (Part 3)

As we continue to monitor the progress of the Os Gemeos x Futura mural on 320 West 21st Street in New York, we have received a new set of pics from AM photographer, Joe Russo. As you can see, the twins are almost done with their part of the mural, namely the figurative portions and the “flag pants.” Soon, Futura will be starting in on the shirt and his portion of the mural. After a great solo showing at LeBasse Projects, Yoskay Yamamoto (interviewed) is already hard at work for his coming show at Roq La Rue September 10th. Showing along side peer Edwin Ushiro (interviewed), Mr. Yamamoto is set to unleash a new set of images for Seattle’s finest. Teaser: Brendan Monroe – “Figments” @ Galerie L.J.

Time flies. It has almost been a year since Brendan Monroe’s (interviewed) solo show at Richard Heller Gallery. In the meantime, he’s relocated to Sweden where he currently lives and works. His newest body of work entitled “Figments” will feature a collection of organic paintings and sculptures all done in his signature palette. Urban Art Photo Contest

Urban Art Core recently announced the winners of their “Urban Art Photo Contest” after going through over 500 entries. With two other judges, Luna Park and RJ from Vandalog, the winner of the contest was none other than the multi-talented Eelus, who is coincidentally preparing for his upcoming show at Brooklynite.
