Openings: Aakash Nihalani – “Overlap” @ Bose Pacia

A couple weeks ago, Aakash Nihalani’s geometric forms took over the Bose Pacia space in New York. Aakash’s work has certainly progressed from the tape work that initially made his name. The increasingly complex sculptural pieces certainly bring to mind the techniques and imagery of the street pieces they reference, but in a more refined way – a perfect transition to the indoors. Teaser: Aakash Nihalani – “Overlap” @ Bose Pacia

Geometrically inclined Aakash Nihalani will be opening a new show at the Bose Pacia Gallery in New York on November 4th. After taking the next step in converting his public tape installations to cut aluminum gallery pieces for an LA show earlier this year, we are looking forward to what the creative street artist will bring next. Streets / Video: Aakash Nihalani – “Stop, Pop & Roll”

Looks like Aakash Nihalani decided to take matters into his own hands to make sure motorists are able to see stop signs clearly in Brooklyn. Here is a video of a recent urban intervention he performed utilizing some of his classic geometric cutouts. When Sean John opened up their pop-up store last weekend in Miami Beach, just in time for Super Bowl, it was with the artwork and design of Aakash Nihalani (who just opened his show at Carmichael Gallery).
