The opening reception allowed guests to peruse a new series of photographs taken in Italy, Turkey and Greece from 2009-2011. This Saturday, the agnès b. Galerie Boutique will be opening their latest show featuring acclaimed photographer Massimo Vitali. The Italian artist will be in attendance for the opening reception from 6-9 and be on hand to sign editions of two of his recently published books: Natural Habitats and Landscape with Figures. AM recently stopped by Agnès B’s Howard Street flagship store to catch two special group shows exhibiting at the “Galerie Boutique”. The first was Certain Young French Photography and Drawings featuring works by Claire Adelfang, Claudia Imbert, Luna Picoli Truffaut, Marc Cellier, Nicolas Dhervillers, Matthias Olmeta, Leonard Bourgois-Beaulieu, Leionel Avignon and Kiki & Loulou Picasso. The second was Holding Pattern Outpost which showcased the winning works of MOMA PS1’s 12th Annual Young Architect’s Program. Check it out after the jump.
Last week AM attended dual receptions to celebrate the launch of Agnès B’s Howard St. flagship store in New York’s SoHo district. The dazzling concept space will be known as “Galerie Boutique” which also serves as a gallery to exhibit some of legendary designer’s favorite artists.
